Liverpool manager Arne Slot has acknowledged that Mohamed Salah is in high demand, with clubs across the world, including his own, eager to secure his services.
The Egyptian forward, who turns 33 in June, is enjoying one of the most prolific seasons of his career.
With 23 goals and 17 assists in 32 appearances for Liverpool, Salah remains one of the most sought-after players as he approaches the final five months of his contract.
Everyone wants him, including us,” Slot said in a press conference on Friday.
I’m not surprised that Saudi Arabia wants him, but I wouldn’t be surprised if other countries want him too.”
Salah, who has scored 234 goals for Liverpool, is closing in on the club’s all-time top-three goal-scorers list, with Gordon Hodgson’s 241-goal tally now within reach.
His performances have reportedly attracted interest from Paris Saint-Germain, as well as clubs in Saudi Arabia.
He is old enough and wise enough, and he has done so many intelligent things in his career that he will make the right decision for himself and, I hope, for us too,” Slot added.
As speculation over Salah’s future intensifies, Liverpool fans will be hoping their star forward remains at Anfield for the seasons to come.
