Aris Limassol officially announces Shavy Babicka's departure to Toulouse FC

Aris Limassol, the Cypriot football club, has confirmed the departure of Shavy Babicka, signaling the end of his tenure with the team since his arrival in the summer of 2021 for a transfer fee of 20,000 euros. The Gabonese international is now poised to embark on a new chapter in one of Europe’s top five leagues.

Amidst weeks of speculation linking him to various Ligue 2 clubs, including Saint-Étienne and Girondins de Bordeaux, Babicka has ultimately chosen to join Toulouse FC, a French top-flight club, as officially disclosed by Aris Limassol.

The Light Brigade successfully negotiated a deal with Toulouse FC for the transfer of the 23-year-old winger, with the transaction valued at 2.75 million euros. Exclusive information from Africafoot indicates that Babicka is set to ink a three-year contract with the Pitchounes.

Over his two and a half seasons in Cyprus, the former Kiyovu Sports player showcased his prowess, amassing 91 appearances for Aris, contributing 16 goals and 22 assists.

Notably, he played a pivotal role in securing two significant trophies for the team—the Cyprus Super Cup and the national championship.

As of now, his market value stands at one million euros according to Transfermarkt.

Babicka’s journey from Aris Limassol to Toulouse FC represents a significant step in his career, and football enthusiasts eagerly await his contributions in one of Europe’s elite football leagues. The transfer underscores the growing prominence of African talents in international football markets.
