Apollon Limassol sign Nigerian winger Mubarak Uthman
Nigerian teenager Mubarak Uthman has joined Apollon Limassol, completing a move to the Cyprus League club on 9 September 2026.
The 18-year-old right winger has signed a contract running until 31 May 2028. No transfer fee has been disclosed for the move, which brings Uthman to Cyprus at the beginning of the 2026-27 season.
Uthman was born in Lagos and represents Nigeria. He is listed as a right winger and is left-footed, giving Apollon an attacking player who normally operates from the right side while favouring his stronger left foot.
His most recent club involvement came with HB Abuja, where he spent a loan spell during the 2026-27 campaign. That arrangement began on 1 July and ended on 31 August, shortly before his arrival at Apollon Limassol.
The move marks a change of league for Uthman, who now joins a club competing in Cyprus. Apollon Limassol will be his latest destination after his short spell with HB Abuja, with his new contract keeping him at the club through the end of May 2028.
Uthman’s arrival adds an 18-year-old Nigerian wide player to Apollon’s squad. His listed playing role is specifically on the right wing, while his height is recorded as 1.72 metres.
The transfer was completed on 9 September, and Uthman is now an Apollon Limassol player under contract until 2028.
