Germany defender of Sierra Leonean descent, Antonio Rudiger has turned down a potential move to Saudi Pro League club Al Hilal.
Despite facing recent injury setbacks and growing speculation about his future in Spain, the defender remains focused on making more history with Real Madrid.
According to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, Rüdiger declined a massive contract that would have seen him earn 3.5 times his current salary at Real Madrid over a two-year deal, with an option to extend for a third.
The decision by Antonio Rudiger to reject the offer from Al Hilal has been described as a show of commitment from the former Chelsea man.
After a season where Real Madrid failed to compete for tops honours, Rudiger and his teammates will be hoping to do better next season.
Rudiger is expected to be part of the Spanish club’s squad for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
