Antonio Rudiger’s future with Real Madrid looks brighter than ever as the club kicks off negotiations to extend his contract.
With his current deal running until the summer of 2026, the Spanish giants are eager to lock down the German centre-back for even longer. Sky Sports’ Kerry Hau reports that initial discussions have already begun, and Rudiger is keen to put pen to paper on a fresh agreement.
Typically, Real Madrid stick to a strict policy of offering just one-year deals to players over 30, but they’re ready to bend the rules for the 32-year-old. Word is, the club might table a two- or three-year extension, a rare move that underscores Rudiger’s value.
Back on June 2, 2022, Real Madrid snapped him up as a free agent, handing him a four-year contract for the 2022–23 season. Just weeks later, on June 20, he was officially unveiled as a Madridista.
Now, with talks underway, Rudiger’s commanding presence at the back seems set to stay.
