Antonio Rüdiger is being linked with a surprise move from Real Madrid to Galatasaray, with the prospective transfer currently rated at a 32% probability according to data compiled on 23 December 2025.

The 32-year-old centre-back, who holds both German and Sierra Leonean nationality, is listed with a market value of €12.00m and could become available as a free agent in the near future, with no contract expiry date recorded in the latest data for his stay at the Bernabéu. That situation has prompted speculation in Türkiye that Galatasaray may test Real Madrid’s resolve to keep the experienced defender or look to position themselves should he be free to negotiate his next move.

Rüdiger, born in Berlin on 3 March 1993 and standing at 1.90m, is a right-footed central defender and currently wears the number 22 shirt for Real Madrid. He joined the Spanish giants in 2022 after a five-year spell at Chelsea, where his market value peaked at around €50m during his time in the Premier League.

Before moving to England, he established himself in Serie A with Roma following his breakthrough at VfB Stuttgart, having progressed through youth systems at Borussia Dortmund and several Berlin clubs. His valuation has gradually declined from €40m shortly after his arrival in Madrid to the current €12m, reflecting both age and market trends rather than a specific downturn in status.

Having played in the Bundesliga, Serie A, the Premier League and LaLiga, a switch to the Süper Lig would add another major European league to his CV and offer Galatasaray a defender with a long track record at elite level. If the move materialises, it could signal the start of a late-career chapter in Istanbul that reshapes perceptions of Rüdiger from Champions League stalwart to cornerstone of an ambitious Galatasaray side.
