Antonio Rudiger emerged as the hero for Real Madrid in a thrilling clash against Real Sociedad, pushing his team into the King Cup final with a decisive goal in extra time.
The match, a rollercoaster of momentum swings, tested Madrid’s resolve, but Rudiger’s late strike sealed the deal after a 4-3 thriller that demanded extensions.
“It was a very difficult match [against Sociedad]. There have been a lot of lifts. In the end, I marked. I’m very happy,” said Antonio Rudiger after the match against Real Sociedad.
“We are in the King Cup final and we are going to win it,” said Rudiger.
Sociedad put up a fierce fight, netting four goals to force extra time, but Rudiger’s composure shone through when it mattered most.
The German defender has been a rock for Madrid this season, logging 26 La Liga appearances and 11 Champions League games, with two goals to his name.
