Ansu Fati set for permanent AS Monaco move as agreement on personal terms nears completion

Spain international of Guinean descent Ansu Fati is edging closer to a permanent stay at AS Monaco following a successful loan spell, with an agreement on personal terms now reported to be close between the forward and the Principality club.

The 23-year-old, who spent last season on loan from Barcelona, impressed during his time in Ligue 1 and quickly became an important attacking option for Monaco. His performances have convinced the club hierarchy to explore a permanent transfer, with discussions now advancing in a positive direction.

Fati’s loan deal reportedly includes a purchase option valued at around €11 million, a clause Monaco are willing to activate after being satisfied with his contribution on the pitch. However, financial negotiations over salary conditions have been the main obstacle in finalising the deal.
