Anis Hadj Moussa lit up the pitch with a standout display, inspiring Feyenoord to a commanding 4-1 victory over Heracles on Saturday in the Dutch league’s 31st round.
The Algerian winger got his side going early, netting the opener in the 9th minute. Midfielder Hwang In-Beom doubled the lead in the 36th, and the pressure paid off again in first-half stoppage time as Hwang grabbed his brace.
Heracles tried to fight back after the break, pulling one back through Luka Kolinovic in the 73rd minute. But any hopes of a comeback were dashed just five minutes later when Givairo Reid struck Feyenoord’s fourth.
Things went from bad to worse for the hosts when Sim Schippermann was shown a red card in the 89th minute, ending the game with ten men.
The win takes Feyenoord to 65 points and lifts them to third in the standings. Heracles stay 12th with 35 points.
Hadj Moussa, 23, was named Man of the Match after his energetic and clinical showing.
