Zito Luvumbo capped off a dominant performance for Cagliari with a late goal as they cruised to a 3-0 victory over AC Monza in Serie A on Sunday.

The Angolan forward found the net deep into stoppage time, sealing an emphatic win at the Unipol Domus.

Cagliari took control of the match early on, with Nicolas Viola opening the scoring in the first half.

Gianluca Gaetano doubled their advantage after the break, putting Davide Nicola’s side in a commanding position

. Luvumbo then put the finishing touch on the victory in the 92nd minute, ensuring all three points stayed in Sardinia.

Luvumbo makes his mark

The young Angolan forward has been gradually making his presence felt in Serie A, and his latest goal adds to his growing reputation.

With two goals and an assist in 19 league appearances this season, Luvumbo continues to be a valuable attacking option for Cagliari.

The win lifts the Sardinian club to 14th in the standings with 29 points, providing them with crucial breathing space in the battle for survival.

Meanwhile, Alessandro Nesta’s Monza side struggled to make an impact and will need to regroup after this disappointing result.

With the season entering a decisive phase, Cagliari will hope Luvumbo can continue his development and play a key role in their push to secure top-flight safety.
