Afimico Pululu is edging closer to a potential transfer to Italy’s top flight, with Serie A side Udinese reportedly targeting the prolific Angolan striker as a key replacement for Lorenzo Lucca, who recently completed a move to Napoli.

Pululu, who currently plays for Polish Ekstraklasa club Jagiellonia Białystok, has drawn increasing attention following an impressive European campaign.

The 25-year-old forward emerged as one of the standout performers in last season’s UEFA Europa Conference League, netting eight goals and finishing as the competition’s top scorer.

His prolific form on the continental stage has made him one of the most sought-after strikers in the current summer transfer window, with his valuation estimated at approximately €5 million.

Sources close to the negotiations suggest that Udinese view Pululu as a strategic signing to fill the void left by Lucca, whose departure has left a noticeable gap in the Friulian side’s attacking options.

Pululu’s sharp finishing and powerful presence in the final third have not gone unnoticed, with scouts from across Europe monitoring his progress.

But it is Udinese who appear to have taken the most concrete steps toward securing his signature, as they look to reinforce their squad ahead of the upcoming Serie A season.

At Jagiellonia Białystok, Pululu has established himself as a dynamic and reliable attacking threat. His recent form in European competition has elevated his profile significantly, placing him among the most effective strikers operating outside of Europe’s five major leagues.

His tally in the Conference League was not only instrumental in his club’s strong showing but also a testament to his growing maturity and consistency on the pitch.

The Angolan international’s potential arrival in Italy comes at a time when Serie A clubs are increasingly looking to under-the-radar markets for affordable talent. Pululu, who blends physicality with clinical finishing, fits the mould of players who have successfully transitioned to Italian football from smaller European leagues in recent years.

While official confirmation of the transfer has yet to be made, discussions between the relevant parties are believed to be at an advanced stage.

Jagiellonia are reportedly open to letting Pululu leave, provided their valuation is met, and the player himself is said to be keen on taking the next step in his career by testing himself in one of Europe’s most competitive domestic leagues.

The move, if completed, would mark a significant milestone in Pululu’s journey from promising forward to a recognised name in European football. It would also offer Udinese a timely reinforcement as they prepare for the new campaign, aiming to improve on last season’s mid-table finish.

As talks progress, Pululu remains focused on his preparations for the new season, but his future appears increasingly likely to lie in Serie A. Should the deal be finalised in the coming weeks, it would represent a major leap forward for the Angolan forward and a promising acquisition for Udinese.
