Angers: Coach Confirms Camara’s Departure

Angers manager Stéphane Moulin confirmed on *Téléfoot* that Abdoul Camara will leave the club during the current transfer window to join English side Derby County. The Guinean winger, 25, has been a key contributor for the promoted Ligue 1 team, having played 17 matches and scored two goals this season.

Moulin emphasized that Camara should be the last player to depart, signaling his intention to retain the majority of his squad. In particular, the manager noted the importance of keeping other core players, such as defender Romain Thomas and midfielder Cheikh Ndoye, who have attracted attention from several English clubs.

The departure of Camara represents a significant change for Angers, currently sitting third in Ligue 1, but Moulin’s comments suggest that the club aims to maintain stability by holding onto the bulk of its key contributors. Camara’s move to Derby County marks an important step in his career, offering him the opportunity to compete in the English Championship while allowing Angers to focus on preserving its competitive edge in the French top flight.

Overall, Moulin’s statement reassures fans that, despite Camara’s transfer, the promoted side intends to retain the majority of its crucial personnel, including Thomas and Ndoye, to sustain its strong performance in Ligue 1.
