Algerian international Andy Delort has dismissed rumors suggesting his retirement from football, affirming his eagerness to continue his favorite hobby of scoring against opponents.
Recent French media reports had hinted at the striker’s retirement due to health concerns following the termination of his contract with his former club, Al-Sailiya in Qatar.
However, Delort swiftly responded, taking to his personal Instagram account to express gratitude to his former club, Al-Sailiya.
He emphasized that the club will remain in his heart and in history.
Regarding his departure from Al-Sailiya, Delort stated, “By mutual agreement, the adventure has come to an end… The time is near for a new challenge.”
The Algerian international, who was absent from the Africa Cup of Nations due to technical choices, concluded, “Retirement is not on the cards at the moment.
