Andre Onana set to fly to Turkey as Trabzonspor deal edges closer
Andre Onana is preparing to board a plane to Turkey within the next 24 hours to finalize his move to Trabzonspor.
The Manchester United goalkeeper is expected to complete the switch before the transfer window shuts on Friday, September 12.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed that the deal will be a loan, with Manchester United not receiving any fee. Trabzonspor also will not have an option to buy the Cameroon international as part of the agreement.
For Onana, the change comes with a major financial lift. Reports say his salary is set to almost double through new bonuses included in the Turkish deal. At United, the 29-year-old earns around €7.3 million annually, a sum that already makes him one of Africa’s top earners in football.
Onana’s current market value is estimated at €25 million, highlighting the scale of talent Trabzonspor will temporarily enjoy. His contract with Manchester United remains unchanged, keeping him tied to the Premier League club beyond the loan spell.
