Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana is not being targeted by AS Monaco, despite fresh rumours suggesting otherwise.
Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano has shut down claims linking the Cameroonian international with a move to the French side. Onana, who has faced criticism for his inconsistent form at United, has reportedly attracted attention from clubs in Saudi Arabia and Italy.
“My information is that Monaco are not in active talks to sign Andre Onana,” said Romano.
“They’ve not made any approach, any bid — nothing. So it’s really quiet between Onana and Monaco,”
Monaco are believed to be searching for a new number one this summer. However, Onana is not part of their plans, at least not for now.
The former Inter Milan keeper has struggled to convince since his big-money move to Old Trafford last summer, with his performances coming under intense scrutiny. But for the time being, Onana remains a Red Devil, with no concrete move in the works.
