Anderlecht has reportedly offered Senegalese defender Moussa N’Diaye a contract extension, reinforcing their confidence in the player following his impressive performances this season.
According to sources in Belgium, the club is negotiating a new deal that would keep him in Brussels until 2028, with the possibility of an additional year until 2029. The proposed agreement is also expected to come with a salary increase, reflecting his growing importance to the squad.
A Crucial Figure in Anderlecht’s Defence
N’Diaye has emerged as a key player for the Mauves, demonstrating his versatility across multiple defensive roles. Capable of operating both in central defence and as a left-back, the 21-year-old has significantly increased his game time this season, making 31 appearances across all competitions—double his total from the previous two campaigns.
His consistent performances have earned the trust of Anderlecht’s coaching staff, who see him as an essential part of the team’s long-term project.
Growing Interest from Abroad
N’Diaye’s rise has not gone unnoticed, with several foreign clubs expressing interest in securing his services. Nottingham Forest was among the clubs monitoring his situation as recently as December, highlighting the defender’s appeal beyond Belgium.
However, Anderlecht is determined to retain the promising talent, moving swiftly to offer improved terms in an effort to fend off potential suitors.
With negotiations underway, the Brussels-based club hopes to finalise the extension soon, ensuring N’Diaye remains a pivotal part of their defensive setup in the years ahead.
