Zamalek board member Amr Adham has downplayed the buzz surrounding Polish winger Konrad Michalak’s complaint to FIFA over unpaid dues, insisting there’s nothing new to report.
“The complaint isn’t recent,” Adham said on Zamalek’s official website. “Michalak filed it after leaving the club, and FIFA hasn’t issued any ruling yet.”
Adham suggested that the renewed media focus on Michalak’s case could be linked to the club’s recent progress in resolving other disputes. He noted that several long-standing issues involving former players and coaches have already been addressed.
“We’ve paid dues to many ex-players and coaches. That’s likely why this old story is surfacing again,” he said.
Adham confirmed Zamalek is currently working on settling payments owed to former Portuguese head coach Jose Gomes and his backroom team. “They will get everything they’re owed,” he assured.
He also mentioned former forward Ibrahima N’Diaye’s case is in the process of being resolved.
As a sign of progress, Adham revealed that the club had received official confirmation from Jaime Pacheco’s lawyer that the Portuguese coach has received all his financial entitlements.
