Ampem Darkoa Ladies book Edo Queens final after emphatic win over Dynamique FC

Ampem Darkoa Ladies have reached the final of the UFOA B Women’s Tournament, which serves as a qualifying competition for the CAF Women’s Champions League, after defeating Dynamique FC 4-1.

The Ghanaian side took control early and established a commanding advantage before half-time. Milot Abena Pokuaa opened the scoring in the 17th minute, giving Ampem Darkoa Ladies the lead and setting the tone for a one-sided first half.

Dynamique FC were unable to contain their opponents’ attacking pressure as the match progressed. Rebecca Assemani then doubled the advantage, before Gloria Adamako added a third goal to put Ampem Darkoa Ladies firmly in control before the interval.

The scoreline reflected the Ghanaians’ dominance during the opening 45 minutes, with Dynamique FC facing the difficult task of attempting to overturn a three-goal deficit after the break.

Dynamique FC responded quickly after half-time, reducing the gap in the 47th minute. The goal offered the team a potential route back into the contest, but Ampem Darkoa Ladies restored their cushion before the match could become close.

Milot Abena Pokuaa scored again in the 66th minute to complete her double and make it 4-1. Her second goal of the evening removed any remaining doubt over the outcome and ensured the Ghanaian team would progress to the final.

There was still time for another opportunity in stoppage time, although it did not lead to a change in the score. Victoria Banful missed a penalty, sending her effort too far across the target.

That miss had no effect on Ampem Darkoa Ladies’ progress. The Ghanaian side held on for a convincing victory and will now face Edo Queens of Nigeria in the final.
