Ampem Darkoa Ladies and Dynamique FC battle for UFOA-B final spot

Ampem Darkoa Ladies will face Dynamique FC on Wednesday evening for a place in the final of the UFOA-B women’s tournament, with the match also serving as part of the qualification route to the CAF Women’s Champions League. The second semi-final is scheduled for 19:00 GMT, with the winner set to meet Edo Queens of Nigeria in the final.

The Ghanaian club go into the tie after an unbeaten group-stage campaign in which they collected three victories from three matches. Ampem Darkoa Ladies began the tournament with a narrow 1-0 win over ASEC Mimosas before producing a more emphatic 4-0 victory against AS GNN.

Their final group fixture brought another significant result, as they defeated Edo Queens 2-1. That result completed a perfect record for the Ghanaian side and showed their consistency throughout the opening phase of the competition.

Dynamique FC, by contrast, reached the last four after a more difficult start. The Beninese team opened its group campaign with a 3-0 defeat by USFA, leaving it with no margin for error in its remaining matches.

Dynamique FC responded with a goalless draw against ASKO de Kara. That result helped keep their semi-final hopes alive and ultimately secured their place in the knockout stage.

The two clubs now meet with contrasting group-stage records. Ampem Darkoa Ladies have won every match they have played in the tournament, while Dynamique FC have had to recover from an opening defeat and rely on a more cautious route through the group phase.

The prize for the winner is a place in the final against Edo Queens, who have already secured their position in the title match. Ampem Darkoa Ladies will therefore aim to maintain the form that carried them through the group stage, while Dynamique FC will look to build on the resilience that took them into the semi-finals despite their early setback.
