Amor Layouni: AEK Larnaca linked with move for Tunisia-Sweden winger from Häcken

Tunisia-Sweden right winger Amor Layouni of Swedish side Häcken is being linked with a summer move to Cypriot club AEK Larnaca, according to transfer data compiled on 11 June 2026.

The 33-year-old, valued at €650k on Transfermarkt, is reportedly of interest to the Cyprus League outfit as they assess attacking options for next season. The rumour currently carries an unspecified likelihood rating (“?”), underlining that talks have not yet progressed to an advanced stage and no agreement is in place.

Layouni’s contractual situation at Häcken is unclear, with no formal expiry date listed, fuelling suggestions that he could be available on favourable terms or potentially move on as a free agent if his deal is close to, or has already, run its course. The Allsvenskan club are yet to confirm any stance on a possible departure.

Born in Falun on 3 October 1992, the 1.91m tall left-footed attacker is primarily deployed as an attacking right winger. He holds both Tunisian and Swedish nationality, reflecting a career that has been built largely in Scandinavian football and has more recently centred on BK Häcken in Sweden’s top flight.

Recent performance data for the current Allsvenskan campaign has not been formally updated in the latest market value note, but Layouni remains regarded as an experienced wide option who can operate high on the flank or tuck inside, attributes that could appeal to AEK Larnaca as they seek to refresh their forward line for domestic and European commitments.

With his social media presence highlighting an ongoing professional focus and no public indication yet of renewal talks in Gothenburg, a move to Cyprus could offer Layouni a late-career change of scenery and the chance to enhance his reputation in a new league if the rumoured transfer ultimately materialises.
