Amine Gouiri could leave Marseille as club weighs summer offers
Olympique de Marseille are prepared to consider offers for Amine Gouiri this summer, with the club valuing the Algeria forward at about €25m, according to French newspaper La Provence.
Gouiri joined Marseille from Stade Rennais in January 2025 and quickly became one of the team’s leading attacking options. The 26-year-old can play as a central striker, from either flank or in a deeper attacking role, making his versatility an important part of his appeal.
Marseille would want a substantial fee if Gouiri were to leave, with a transfer worth €25m allowing the club to reinvest part of the proceeds in the transfer market. The French side are continuing to shape their squad and could use the income from a sale to fund further recruitment.
No agreement with another club has been announced, and it remains unclear whether any interested party would be willing to meet Marseille’s financial demands. However, setting a clear valuation could encourage negotiations to accelerate over the coming weeks.
Gouiri is understood to retain a strong reputation in the market. His technical ability, link-up play and experience in the French league could appeal to clubs looking for attacking reinforcements.
He is under contract at Marseille until 30 June 2029. His market value is estimated at €28m, while his reported annual salary at the club is €4.55m, equivalent to 2,957,500,000 FCFA.
The forward could therefore become one of the Marseille players attracting attention during the final stages of the transfer window. The club’s position appears clear: a fee of €25m would be required before it agrees to his departure.
Gouiri’s immediate focus is expected to remain with Marseille as they prepare to begin their Ligue 1 campaign against Strasbourg. The fixture will be the club’s opening match of the French championship.
Betting company 1xbet lists Marseille as favourites for that game, with the home side priced at 1.64 to win. A draw is rated at 4.20, while Strasbourg are given odds of 4.30.
The match will provide Gouiri with an opportunity to continue his role in Marseille’s attack, although uncertainty over his future may add to the interest surrounding his involvement. For now, he remains a Marseille player, but the club’s reported €25m valuation means his situation could develop before the transfer window closes.
