Amara Diané advocates for PSG to preserve Parc des Princes legacy

Amara Diane Ne Veut Pas Voir Le Psg Quitter Le Parc Des Princes

Former Ivory Coast international Amara Diané expressed his deep attachment to the iconic Parc des Princes stadium. Diané, a key figure during his tenure at PSG, shared his sentiments during an appearance on After Foot on RMC, responding to recent statements made by PSG president Nasser al-Khelaïfi regarding the future of the Parc des Princes.

While acknowledging that changes might be inevitable, Diané passionately articulated his desire for PSG to maintain its presence at the Parc des Princes, emphasizing the stadium’s legendary status.

He stated, “It’s a shame! If it has to be done, it will be done, but for my part, if I am asked, I would like us to stay at the Park. The Park is a legendary stadium.”

Diané, renowned for his contributions to PSG with 20 goals in 89 matches, underscored the historical significance of the Parc des Princes, PSG’s primary residence since 1974.

He expressed the sentiment that preserving the memories and narratives associated with the stadium is integral to building and sustaining the greatness of a football team.

Reflecting on the rich tapestry of events that unfolded within the Parc des Princes, Diané remarked, “There is so much of things that happened there and we must not forget it. When there is a story, you have to keep it. Because that’s what makes you a great team.”

As PSG contemplates potential venue changes, Diané’s heartfelt plea resonates with fans who cherish the historical identity and emotional resonance of the Parc des Princes.

The debate over PSG’s future home raises questions about the club’s identity and the delicate balance between progress and preserving the cherished heritage of a football institution.
