Amad Diallo reflects on strong start to season after winning United player of the month

Amad Diallo is full of confidence after being named Manchester United’s Player of the Month for August, following an impressive start to the season. The Ivorian winger has hit his stride after overcoming a knee injury that kept him sidelined for the first half of the 2023-24 campaign.

“I’m so happy to start like this, and I want to step up and continue like this until the end of the season,” Diallo said. “I’m in a good moment.

I’m confident, and the Player of the Month award— I was so happy to have it.

The winger was particularly grateful to Manchester United’s supporters, crediting their unwavering belief in him as a major factor in his strong performances.

“The fans give me a lot of love, and I want to thank them for that,” he added. “Even when I was not playing, they wanted to give me confidence, to give me love and bring me energy.

I’m so happy to have the fans with the team, and I want to thank them again.”

“I have a good relationship with everyone, really.

We’ve got good energy, the team is focused to do more until the end of the season, and we take every game like a final.

So we’re ready to fight again.”
