Alvin Okoro joins Sudtirol as Venezia forward moves to Serie B

Italy-Nigeria centre-forward Alvin Okoro has joined Sudtirol from Venezia on a season-long loan, completing his move to the Serie B club on 29 August 2026.

The 21-year-old striker’s loan is scheduled to run until 30 June 2027, when he is due to return to Venezia. Okoro moves to Sudtirol after beginning the 2026-27 campaign with the Serie A side.

Born in Vicenza, Okoro is eligible to represent both Italy and Nigeria. He operates primarily as a centre-forward and is right-footed, adding a young attacking option to Sudtirol’s squad for their Serie B campaign.

Okoro’s move to Sudtirol is the latest in a series of temporary switches during his senior career. He spent the second half of the 2025-26 season at Juve Stabia on loan from Venezia, before returning to the latter club at the end of June.

Earlier in the 2025-26 campaign, the forward was loaned to Juventus’ Next Gen side, having joined from Venezia in August 2025. That spell ended in January 2026, when he returned to Venezia before moving to Juve Stabia the following day.

Okoro previously spent the 2024-25 season with Vis Pesaro on loan from Venezia. He joined Vis Pesaro after progressing from Venezia’s Under-19 side, which he had moved to from Pordenone Under-17s in September 2022.

His development began in the Udinese youth system before a move to Pordenone in 2020. Okoro has since continued his career within Italian football, with Sudtirol now becoming his latest club and his first listed destination in Serie B.

The transfer gives Okoro another opportunity to gain experience away from Venezia while remaining under contract with the Serie A club. For Sudtirol, his arrival provides additional cover in the centre-forward position.

Okoro has therefore left Venezia on loan and will represent Sudtirol until the scheduled end of the 2026-27 season.
