Alphonso Davies has set his sights on a return to action in November as he continues his recovery from a serious knee injury suffered in March.
The Bayern Munich full-back picked up the injury while playing for Canada in the CONCACAF Nations League semi-final win over the United States. Just days later, scans confirmed he had torn a cruciate ligament, ruling him out for several months.
Despite the long road to recovery, the 24-year-old remains upbeat. Speaking to UEFA, Davies shared an encouraging update: “I’m doing well. The recovery is going well. I’m looking forward to getting back on the pitch.”
Pressed on when fans could see him back in a Bayern shirt, Davies added: “It will be a while yet. Probably in November or so.”
The setback came just weeks after the Canadian international committed his future to Bayern, signing a contract extension that will keep him at the club until 2030.
His return could offer Bayern a timely boost during the critical stages of the season as they aim to reclaim domestic and European glory.
