Alpha Toure: Saudi Pro League side Al-Diraiyah eye move for FC Metzs Senegal midfielder

Senegal defensive midfielder Alpha Toure of Ligue 2 club FC Metz is being linked with a summer move to Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Diraiyah FC.

The 20-year-old, born in Kaolack and currently valued at 5.00m on Transfermarkt, has emerged as a target for the Riyadh-based side, with the latest rumour logged on 3 July. The probability of the transfer is currently listed as ?, underlining that discussions remain at an early and speculative stage.

Toure, a left-footed holding midfielder standing at 1.80m, joined Metz from Senegalese partner club AS Academie Generation Foot on 12 July 2024 after progressing through Generation Foot U20. He wears the number 12 shirt for Metz, who now compete in Frances Ligue 2.

No contract expiry date is recorded for Toure at the Stade Saint-Symphorien, leaving open the possibility that his situation could evolve into a free-agent scenario if no extension is agreed and his current deal proves to be short-term or incentive-based. For now, he remains under Metzs control, with no official indication from the French club that they are ready to sell.

Toures rise has been reflected in a sharp market value increase since arriving in France. His valuation climbed from 200,000 in December 2024 to 400,000 in June 2025, before jumping to 1m in October 2025 and 2m in December 2025. By March 2026, his value had reached 5m, a figure that was maintained in the latest update on 1 June 2026.

The midfielders performances for Metz in Ligue 2 during the 2025-26 campaign, including recent outings in the spring of 2026, have helped attract attention from abroad, with Al-Diraiyah now the first Saudi Pro League club to be concretely linked.

While there is no agreement in place and key details such as fee and contract length are unknown, a switch from France to Saudi Arabia at this stage of his development would represent a significant step in Toures career trajectory if the move eventually materialises.
