Almasry Club has rejected the inclusion of Marwan Hamdi, the team’s striker, in swap deals with Pyramids Club. Almasry Club insisted that Marwan Hamdi’s deal should be purely monetary, without involving any other players in the transaction.
Almasry Club had set the condition for Marwan Hamdi’s sale during the current winter transfer window, requiring a financial compensation of no less than 25 million Egyptian pounds.
This is to compensate for the amount Almasry Club spent to acquire the player from Zamalek, which was 23 million Egyptian pounds.
The Board of Directors of Almasry Club is currently reviewing the offers received for the departure of Marwan Hamdi during the ongoing winter transfer window.
One of the prominent offers comes from Pyramids, which presented a financial proposal estimated at 25 million Egyptian pounds to the Port Said-based club in exchange for Marwan Hamdi’s services.
Marwan Hamdi has also received several other offers, including ones from Ceramica, Ahli Bank, and Modern Future.
The fate of the player is expected to be determined by Almasry Club before the end of the winter transfer window, following his exclusion from the calculations of Port Said Club and the coaching staff led by Ali Maher.
Previously, Almasry Club had announced the suspension of Marwan Hamdi and fined him one million Egyptian pounds, putting him up for sale.
This decision came after the player spat on the fans during a match against Pyramids in the league when he was being substituted.
