Ali Gabr, the defender for Pyramids FC, affirmed that the experience with the Sky Blues has been significantly successful, emphasizing that the absence of a championship thus far should not be considered a failure.
Speaking on the “Al-Laeb” program on MBC Egypt, Ali Gabr stated, “I see it as a successful experience.
The club has been present for five years, competing in every tournament it participates in, reaching multiple finals.
I view this not as a failure but as a success for a club to be established in a short period and contend for all titles.”
He continued, “Certainly, we play to win every championship, but there has been a lack of luck haunting us for a while.
Undoubtedly, winning a title would make a significant difference for the club.”
“We have experienced players who have previously played for Al Ahly and Zamalek. It’s natural to face criticism from the media and the fans.
I see this as normal, but in the end, we reach the finals and are not fortunate,” Gabr added.
The seasoned defender further stated, “We aim to win the league and the CAF Champions League, but it’s still early to talk about this.
There is a fixture pressure, but we have a squad of 30 players, and, God willing, we will clinch a championship this season.”
As Ali Gabr reflected on Pyramids FC’s journey, he acknowledged the inevitable scrutiny that comes with high-profile players and the club’s ambitions.
Despite the challenges and criticisms, he remains optimistic about the squad’s potential and their aspirations for success in both domestic and continental competitions.
