Algerian striker Oussama Darfalou has secured a move to China League One side Shaanxi Union FC, marking a fresh start in his career.

The 31-year-old, who previously played for CR Belouizdad, was officially unveiled by the Chinese club on Wednesday, February 26.

A New Challenge in China

Shaanxi Union FC confirmed Darfalou’s arrival through an announcement on its official X account, stating that the deal was reached amicably between both parties.

“After friendly negotiation and agreement with the player himself, Oussama Darfalou has officially joined Shaanxi United Football Club,” the club posted.

However, no details regarding the length of his contract were disclosed.

The Algerian forward joins as a free agent following his departure from CR Belouizdad on August 29, 2024.

His move to China represents a new challenge in a league he has never played in before, offering him the opportunity to reignite his career.

Darfalou Eager for the Journey Ahead

Expressing his enthusiasm for this next chapter, Darfalou shared his excitement with fans on social media. “Very happy to join the Shaanxi United family, we will create a wonderful season together,” he wrote on Instagram.

Darfalou, who began his professional career with USM Alger, has played in various leagues throughout his career, including stints in Europe and North Africa.

His experience and goal-scoring ability will be crucial as Shaanxi Union FC aim for success in China’s second tier.

With the move now confirmed, Darfalou will look to make an immediate impact as he begins his journey in Chinese football.
