Mohamed Benyettou, the Algerian international and striker for Qatar’s Al-Wakrah club, has been selected to compete for a special award in the “Expo” league.
The official account of the Qatari league on the “Ex” platform nominated the former Wefaq player to vie for the Player of the 18th Round award, alongside five other players.
Among them are Al-Sadd’s striker Akram Afif, Al-Duhail’s player Michael Olunga, Al-Ahli’s goalkeeper Marwan Sharif, and Ahmed Alaa Eldin from Al-Gharafa, along with Abdullah Al-Ahraq from Qatar SC.

Benyettou led his club Al-Wakrah to a significant victory last Saturday against hosts Umm Salal, securing a clean 2-0 win, with Benyettou scoring one of the goals.
With this, the Algerian striker has raised his tally to 11 goals in the current season, placing him fourth in the top scorers’ list, trailing by 8 goals behind the leader Akram Afif and 7 goals behind another Algerian international, Yacine Brahimi, who holds the second position.
