The Algerian women’s national team officially commenced preparations for the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations on Tuesday, signaling the start of their journey towards the prestigious tournament.
Following their arrival on Monday evening, the national women’s team held their first training session yesterday at the National Technical Center in Sidi Moussa under the guidance of coach Farid Benstiti.
The coaching staff, who called up 29 players for this training camp, focused on muscle-strengthening exercises during the morning session in the sports hall of the center.
A second session was scheduled for the evening, starting at 5:00 PM, with the participation of all players, featuring various physical and tactical drills aimed at enhancing team cohesion and individual skills.
During this training camp, the Algerian women’s team is set to face their Burkinabe counterparts in two friendly matches as part of their preparation for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations.
In addition, national coach Benstiti will hold a press conference tomorrow, Thursday, at 11:30 AM at the Omar Kezzal Auditorium in the National Technical Center in Sidi Moussa, as confirmed by the Algerian Football Federation (FAF).
