The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed Algerian referee Lotfi Boukouassa to officiate the match between Ghana and Congo today, Friday, as part of the opening of the football tournament at the African Games.
Boukouassa will oversee the highly anticipated game starting at 15:00 GMT at the Accra Sports Stadium in Ghana.
He will be assisted by Burundian Renovat Bizumuremyi and Tunisian Youssef Ghami, with Djiboutian Saddam Hussein Mansouri serving as the fourth official.
The 2023 edition of the African Games, postponed to 2024, will take place from March 8 to March 23, 2024, in Ghana.
The football competition will feature teams under 20 years of age.
