Algerian prospect Rayan Kolli attracts interest from Monaco, Lille and Saudi clubs

Rayan Kolli’s rise in English football has not gone unnoticed, with AS Monaco and Lille reportedly monitoring the promising Algerian U20 international ahead of a potential summer move.

The 20-year-old striker, who plays for Queens Park Rangers in the English Championship, has made just 15 senior appearances this season but has already caught the eye of several high-profile clubs.

Despite his limited minutes, Kolli’s talent and potential have become clear, prompting interest from clubs competing in both Ligue 1 and the Champions League.

According to reports from Foot Mercato, both Monaco and Lille are keeping close tabs on the London-born forward, who has emerged as one of the breakout stars of the 2024–25 season.

Both French sides featured in the Champions League this term and are reportedly looking to bolster their attacking options with young, high-upside players.

Kolli, whose market value currently stands at €1.5 million according to Transfermarkt, could command a significantly higher transfer fee should a bidding war emerge.

While he remains relatively raw, scouts see in him the qualities of a future elite striker, with the potential to thrive at the top levels of European football.

Interest in the young forward extends beyond Europe. Saudi Arabian clubs Al Hilal and Damac are also said to be pursuing Kolli, with both reportedly presenting serious contract offers in a bid to lure him to the Middle East.

The financial strength of the Saudi Pro League has become an increasingly influential factor in the transfer market, and promising players like Kolli are now firmly on their radar.

Though he is yet to earn a senior cap for Algeria, Kolli has been involved with the U20 national setup and is seen as a potential future option for the senior side.

With stiff competition for attacking places, including from fellow youngster Amin Chiakha, securing regular minutes at a top-level club could prove key to his international ambitions.

The prospect of Champions League football with Monaco or Lille presents an appealing step forward for Kolli, who has so far impressed with his composure, movement, and attacking instincts in England’s second tier.

Such a move would not only elevate his club career but also put him in contention for national team selection in the near future.

For Queens Park Rangers, the growing interest in Kolli may provide a financial boost, though losing one of their brightest young stars would be a significant blow.

Nevertheless, the club may find it difficult to hold on to him if bids from Europe or the Gulf region arrive in the coming months.

With the summer transfer window drawing nearer, Kolli’s future appears increasingly likely to lie away from Loftus Road. Whether it will be in Ligue 1, the Saudi Pro League, or elsewhere in Europe remains to be seen—but what is certain is that one of Algeria’s most exciting young prospects is on the verge of a major leap in his career.
