Algerian national team set for 8 official matches in 2024
After the African Football Confederation revealed the schedule for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, setting it at the same time as the current Ivory Coast tournament in January 2025, the Algerian national football team, known as the “Green Falcons,” has now unveiled its official match program for the current year.
In the preliminary round of the Africa Cup, scheduled between March 18 and 26, 2024 (with the national team exempted), the Green Falcons will engage in an international friendly tournament on Algerian soil.
Following this, in June, they will participate in two World Cup qualifying matches against Guinea and Uganda.
The upcoming CAN (African Cup of Nations) qualifiers for the next edition will kick off with the group stage matches.
The dates for these fixtures have been set as follows: the first and second rounds will take place between September 2 and 10, 2024, the third and fourth rounds between October 7 and 15, 2024, and the fifth and sixth rounds between November 11 and 19, 2024.
The national team is now confirmed to play a total of 8 official matches, with an additional two friendly matches in March of the upcoming year.
The busy schedule reflects the commitment of the Green Falcons to top-tier competitions and their continuous preparation for major football events on the continental and global stage.
