Espérance Sportive de Tunis midfielder Youcef Belaili is scheduled to appear before the National Professional Football League (LNFP) on Friday following an incident during a recent Ligue 1 match against JS Omrane.

The Algerian international has been summoned by the league’s disciplinary body after his actions during the fixture raised concerns among officials.

While the nature of the gesture has not been officially disclosed, it was deemed significant enough to warrant a formal review by the LNFP.

Belaili, who has been a key figure for Espérance, will have the opportunity to present his case before the league’s disciplinary panel.

The LNFP will assess the incident and determine whether further action, such as a fine or suspension, is necessary.

The outcome of the hearing could have implications for both the player and his club, as Espérance continues its campaign in the Tunisian top flight.

A decision from the disciplinary committee is expected following Belaili’s appearance.
