Algerian forward Anis Hadj-Moussa draws transfer interest from Monaco and Nottingham Forest

Arne Slot reveals Feyenoord resistance to Algerian winger Hadj Moussa’s signing

Feyenoord Rotterdam winger Anis Hadj-Moussa has emerged as a top transfer target for AS Monaco and Nottingham Forest, with both clubs preparing to battle for the Algerian international’s signature during the upcoming summer window.

The 23-year-old left-sided forward has enjoyed a standout season in the Dutch Eredivisie, registering nine goals and three assists, performances that have significantly raised his profile across Europe.

His market value is now estimated at €12 million, as reported by L’Équipe, and both Monaco and Forest are said to be monitoring the player closely ahead of potential formal bids.

Hadj-Moussa’s combination of pace, technique, and incisive decision-making in the final third has made him one of the most talked-about emerging talents in Algerian football.

His dribbling ability and vision in tight spaces have been instrumental to Feyenoord’s attacking play, and clubs with European ambitions are now eager to secure his services.

At Monaco, interest in the Paris-born forward has intensified in light of possible summer departures.

The Principality side is reportedly preparing for life without Maghnes Akliouche, who has drawn attention from Manchester City and several other Premier League sides.

Club officials view Hadj-Moussa as a natural replacement—someone who can offer versatility and creativity in advanced areas, while also fitting into the club’s philosophy of developing young, dynamic players.

Nottingham Forest, meanwhile, are pushing for a top-four finish in the Premier League and are hopeful of securing Champions League qualification.

According to sources close to the club, Forest intends to use their possible European status as a key incentive to lure Hadj-Moussa to England.

With six matches left in the domestic campaign, their pursuit of the Algerian is expected to heat up as soon as the season concludes.

Feyenoord, who have benefited from Hadj-Moussa’s breakout year, are reportedly resigned to the likelihood of losing the winger this summer.

Multiple clubs are expected to submit official offers, with Monaco and Forest among the frontrunners.

A departure now appears all but certain, though the Dutch side will hope to negotiate favourable terms for one of their prized assets.

On the international front, Hadj-Moussa’s trajectory has been equally promising. Despite being born in Paris, the winger chose to represent Algeria, first joining the national youth ranks in 2022.

His rise to the senior team came in March 2024, when he made his debut in a 3-2 friendly win over Bolivia. Since then, he has added two more caps, and his inclusion is seen as part of a generational shift under coach Vladimir Petković.

With Riyad Mahrez nearing the twilight of his international career and other attackers like Adam Ounas struggling for consistency, Hadj-Moussa is widely considered a potential cornerstone for Algeria’s future.

His growing influence at both club and country level is fuelling speculation that this summer could mark a major leap in his career.

As the transfer window approaches, all eyes will be on whether the Dutch club can hold onto their star forward or if one of Europe’s rising sides secures his signature in what promises to be one of the most talked-about moves involving an Algerian talent.
