The President of the Algerian Football Federation (FAF), Walid Sadi, has unveiled new measures that will be adopted by the refereeing body in the upcoming season of the Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1.
Speaking during a Federal Bureau meeting held on Wednesday at the Technical Center in Sidi Moussa, Walid Sadji announced, “We will be introducing VAR (Video Assistant Referee) technology starting from the next season.”
Furthermore, Sadi emphasized, “In the phase of returning to sports activities, it is imperative to uphold the principles of fairness and integrity, particularly from the refereeing officials.”
During the meeting, Walid Sadi, along with members of the executive committee of the FAF, honored elite referees, especially those who officiated in the Africa Cup of Nations held in Ivory Coast.
