The Algerian Football Federation announced on Sunday that Walid Sadi, the federation’s president, will oversee a committee tasked with evaluating the profiles of coaches nominated to succeed Djamel Belmadi as the head coach of the national team.

In a statement posted on its social media platform “X,” the federation stated, “Walid Sadi, the president of the Algerian Football Federation, will preside over a committee on Monday responsible for studying the nominations for the position of the head coach of the national team.”

The statement further added, “The committee will present the study results within a period not exceeding ten days.”

Following Algeria’s early exit from the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast, the Algerian Football Federation severed ties with coach Djamel Belmadi.

The decision prompted the initiation of a thorough selection process to identify the next coach who will lead the Algerian national team.
