The Algerian Football Federation (FAF) has officially decided to relocate some of the capital’s derbies in the near future to the Mustapha Tchaker Stadium in Blida.
Mohamed Amine Meslouk, Vice President of the FAF, revealed that a decision had been made to rehabilitate the Mustapha Tchaker Stadium, which will provide the federation with additional solutions regarding the scheduling of capital derbies.
Speaking as a guest on national television, Meslouk emphasized that the Director of Youth and Sports for the Blida Province had promised the FAF to hand over the Tchaker Stadium by early March.
He pointed out that this step would help alleviate the pressure on the July 5 Olympic Stadium by scheduling several capital derbies at Tchaker Stadium.
Meslouk also affirmed that the scheduling of the capital derbies at Mustapha Tchaker Stadium in Blida would be done in consultation with the relevant clubs.
