The last regional round of the 2024-2025 Algerian Cup concluded this weekend, producing a mix of thrilling contests and surprising eliminations. Among the notable results, several established clubs, including IBK El Khechna, MC Saïda, RC Arbaâ, and ASM Oran, suffered shock exits as lower-tier teams asserted themselves.

Annaba Region

Nasr El Fadjoudj edged out US Tébessa 1-0 in extra time, securing their place in the next stage. IRB Sid Amar delivered an impressive 3-1 victory over IRB Sedrata, while ES Guelma narrowly defeated NRB Bouchegouf 1-0. Meanwhile, USM Annaba advanced past US Bou Khadra via penalties after a goalless draw.

Algiers Region

The Algiers region saw tense encounters, with JSM Béjaïa defeating JSB Arbatach 2-1 in extra time, and MO Béjaïa overcoming RC Seddouk by the same margin. USM Harrach and NA Hussein Dey both claimed 2-1 wins against CA Kouba and IB Lakhdaria, respectively. RC Kouba’s dramatic 2-1 extra-time triumph over IB Khemis El Khechna was among the weekend’s surprises. ES Ben Aknoun also progressed after a narrow 1-0 win against JS Tixeraïne.

Saïda Region

JSM Tiaret caused an upset with a 2-1 victory over MC Saïda, eliminating the prominent club. IRB Sougueur put on a commanding performance, defeating WM Tissemsilt 3-0, while GC Mascara advanced on penalties after a draw with JSM Dje Meskine.

Blida Region

RC Arbaâ, another heavyweight, fell 1-0 to USM Blida, while ESM Koléa comfortably beat MCB Oued Sly 2-0. SKAF Khemis Miliana’s penalty win against ORB Oued Fodda capped a dramatic 3-3 draw in regulation. CR Béni Tamou and CR Zaouia also moved forward, securing narrow victories in their respective matches.

Béchar Region

NRB Sebaâ emerged victorious in a penalty shootout against SC Mécheria, while Mouloudia des Chouhada clinched a 3-2 win over NRB Taghit. US Béchar Djedid edged out USM Tindouf 2-1 in extra time.

Constantine Region

AS Khroub and CRB Mila engaged in a tight contest, with AS Khroub prevailing on penalties. US Chaouia eliminated MO Constantine 1-0, while JS Jijel defeated NRB Téleghma 3-1. AE El Eulma secured a 1-0 win over AS Aïn M’lila, and USM Sétif advanced with a 2-0 victory against USF Constantine.

Oran Region

IRB El Karma stunned ASM Oran 2-1, knocking the prominent club out of the competition. WA Mostaganem beat RC Relizane 2-1, while USM Bel-Abbes progressed with a narrow 1-0 win over ASM Oran. CR Temouchent advanced via penalties after a draw with CRB H. Boughrara.

Batna Region

CA Batna eliminated MSP Batna 1-0, while AB Barika cruised past CRB Ain Yagout 2-0. ES Théniet El Abed and ES Bouaâkeul also booked their places with narrow wins.

Ouargla Region

Olympique Magrane showcased dominance, defeating W Samaili Guerara 3-0, while NRB Touggourt edged ASB Metlili Chaamba 1-0. MB Rouissat delivered a resounding 4-0 win over IRB Ouargla.

With these results, the stage is set for the national rounds of the Algerian Cup, promising even more drama and surprises in the coming weeks.
