El Hadi Khezzar, the recently appointed coach of MC El Bayadh, has made the decision to step down from his position, marking a short-lived tenure at the Algerian football club.
Khezzar’s departure from the technical helm of MC El Bayadh comes just over a month and a half since his arrival.
The announcement follows closely on the heels of the team’s recent defeat against JS Saoura in the southwest derby, where they suffered a 0-1 loss.
The decision to replace Khezzar’s predecessor, Abdelhak Belaid, was made on February 12. Belaid had requested relief from his coaching duties due to his involvement in the tragic accident at MC El Bayadh last December, which resulted in the loss of goalkeeper Zakaria Bouziani’s life.
Following Belaid’s departure, assistant coach Khaled Meftaf had taken interim charge alongside Abdennour Hamici.
As MC El Bayadh navigates through a challenging season, currently occupying the 11th position in the standings with 25 points, Khezzar’s departure adds further uncertainty to the team’s technical setup.
The club finds itself trailing behind the first non-relegation team, NC Magra, by a margin of four points.
The sudden coaching transition raises questions about the team’s stability and its ability to secure favorable results in the remaining fixtures of the season.
With key matches ahead, MC El Bayadh will need to swiftly address the vacancy left by Khezzar’s departure and ensure continuity in their coaching staff to navigate through the challenges ahead.
