Noureddine Ouldali has been appointed as the new head coach of the Palestinian national football team. A familiar figure to Palestinian football fans, Ouldali previously served as Moussa Bezzaz’s assistant between 2009 and 2012. This experience has provided him with an in-depth understanding of the team and its dynamics, as well as the mentality of the players and staff.
The 44-year-old Algerian coach, who also had a stint at US Chaouia, has signed a two-year contract with the Palestinian Football Association (PFA). His primary objective is to lead Palestine through the 2018 World Cup qualifiers. In the qualification process, Palestine finds itself in Group A of the Asian Zone, alongside teams like Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, and East Timor.
Ouldali’s staff will be made up of local technicians, further emphasizing the importance of nurturing Palestinian football talent and fostering a strong connection with the domestic football scene. His appointment marks a fresh chapter in Palestine’s footballing ambitions.
