Algeria midfielder Ibrahim Maza has set sights on helping Bayer Leverkusen to secure UEFA Champions League qualification next season.

With a game to spare in the German Bundesliga, Bayer Leverkusen find themselves in the sixth position with 58 points, three points behind Stuttgart and Hoffenheim.

However, Leverkusen must win their final game of the campaign and await the outcome of Stuttgart and Hoffenheim games to determine their faith.

“My focus is currently on Leverkusen to secure qualification for the Champions League, and there is still enough time before the World Cup.” He said.

This season, Maza has made 27 appearances in the Bundesliga for Bayer Leverkusen, scoring three goals and providing five assists across the period.

Meanwhile, the enterprising midfielder has expressed optimism about Algeria grinding positive results at the upcoming 2026 World Cup.

“The Algerian national team has a good squad and a good coach, and we still have enough time to prepare well,” Maza said. “I believe we can achieve great results in the World Cup.”

The talented midfielder also called on Algerian supporters to continue backing the national team, stressing the importance of fan support ahead of upcoming international fixtures.

“We need the Algerian fans, and I hope they will come in large numbers to support us in the upcoming friendly match in the Netherlands. I believe that together we are capable of achieving great things.”
