MC Algiers has secured its first transfer for the 2013-2014 season with the acquisition of Michaël Fabre. The 29-year-old, whose contract with Clermont football in Ligue 2, France, had expired, has chosen to return to his home country. Fabre, a former French Espoirs international and goalkeeper for Sedan and RC Lens, expressed his happiness with the move to MC Alger, signing a two-year contract.
His aspirations include delivering strong performances for MC Alger and harboring ambitions of joining the Algerian national team. Despite his only call-up with the Fennecs dating back to July 2011, where he was part of a list of 33 players selected by Vahid Halilhodzic for a training camp, Fabre remains determined to make a significant impact with his new club.
