Algeria captain Riyad Mahrez delivered a top-class performance to inspire Al Ahli Jeddah to victory over Al-Ain in the Asian Champions League clash.
The former Manchester City star lasted the entire duration as Al Ahli cruised to a 2-1 away win over Al-Ain in the fifth round of the Champions League.
Mahrez provided two assists to inspire his outfit secure victory at the Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium.
The Algeria star needed only 4 minutes to provide two assists to English teammate Ivan Toney, who scored in the 70th and 74th minute marks respectively.
Mahrez has more goal contributions in the Asian elite’ competition this season, scoring three and providing five assists.
He is also the player with most decisive passes (5), surpassing Portuguese Joao Cancelo, who plies his trade for Al Hilal.
The former Leicester City star is expected to play a huge role for Al Ahli in the ongoing Champions League campaign.
