The Algerian Football Federation (FAF) has revealed the official roster of referees and match officials selected for the 2026 FIFA international lists.
The announcement highlights both seasoned officials and emerging talent poised to represent Algeria on the global stage.
The central referees include Ghorbal Mustapha, Benbraham Lahlou, Gamouh Youcef, Boukhalfa Nabil, Aouina Mohammed Rafik, Benyahia Houssam, Bekouassa Lotfi, Mehat Ghada, and Houia Dhikra.
The list introduces three newcomers: Mohamed Aouina, who debuted in the Algerian Ligue 1 in 2023; Houssem Benyahia, who joined in 2025; and Houia Dhikra, 28, the nation’s second female central referee, who officiated the opening match of the 2025/2026 season.
Youcef Gamouh also features despite missing the recent AFCON due to illness.
Assistant referees named include Gourari Mokrane, Zerhouni Abbès Akram, Bouzit Hamza, Ouerd Benslama Yacine, Bouima Haitham, Hamaidi Mohammed, Abane Adel, Ouahab Asma Feriel, Kemmad Sara, and Ouchenane Loubna.
The federation confirmed the VAR (video assistant referee) team, consisting of Ghorbal Mustapha, Benbraham Lahlou, Gourari Mokrane, and Ouahab Asma Feriel.
FIFA-recognized futsal referees include Balahouane Ammar, Chenaoua Adel, Chanai Warda, and Chihaoui Malika Nada.
Street football referees on the list are Aroui Zakaria and Benhouria Khaled Walid.
FAF officials emphasized that the new roster reflects both experience and fresh talent, reinforcing Algeria’s commitment to high officiating standards across all forms of football.
The 2026 list positions these referees to oversee international fixtures, tournaments, and specialized competitions in futsal and street football.
