Algeria international Amine Gouiri has bagged the award for the Goal of the Season in the recently concluded French Ligue 1 campaign.
The 25-year-old attacker incredible bicycle kick on matchday 31 against Stade Brestois, which was part of a brilliant hat-trick in Marseille’s 4-1 victory, cemented his name in the season’s highlight reel.
His magnificent strike was voted as the Goal of the Season by the French professional players’ union, adding another accolade to his breakout campaign.
Amine Gouiri joined Marseille from Stade Rennais in January and established himself as a key member of the team. With his outstanding performances and memorable moments, the Algerian international established himself as one of the most dangerous forwards in Europe’s top five leagues.
His efforts were crucial in Marseille’s Champions League qualification, scoring 13 goals and providing 5 assists in 33 appearances.
