Alexandria Union are making early moves in the transfer window, with new head coach Ahmed Sami eager to reshape the squad for the coming season.
At the top of his list is Egypt U-20 winger Mohamed Abdalla, who could join the team on loan.
A source from within the club told Kooora that Sami has personally requested the right-winger, who currently plays for an undisclosed club. Talks between the Union and Mohamed Abdalla have already begun, with the player made aware of the coach’s interest.
In addition to Mohamed Abdalla, the club is aiming to strengthen their attack by signing Pyramids FC forward Marawan Hamdy. This move follows Modern Sport’s decision to retain striker Hossam Hassan.
The source noted that Hamdy and Sami previously worked together at Smouha, which makes the reunion more likely.
Meanwhile, talks are ongoing to bring in experienced goalkeeper Mahmoud Abdel Rahim Genesh, who formerly played for Modern Sport.
Alexandria Union are also preparing to release defender Mahmoud Metwally, whose recurring injuries have limited his impact.
