Alexander Isak turns down Newcastle United return pushes for exit

Alexander Isak’s future at Newcastle United looks increasingly uncertain after the Swedish-Eritrean striker made it clear he does not want to be part of the team again, according to the Chronicle’s Lee Ryder.

The 25-year-old was left out of the squad for Saturday’s friendly against Atletico Madrid. In the past few days, the club attempted a clear-the-air meeting with Isak in hopes of resolving the situation. However, his firm stance against a return made it impossible for him to be selected.

Isak has been training alone since coming back to England from his summer break, a sign of the growing distance between him and the rest of the squad. Inside the club, there is a growing belief that he may have already played his final game for the Magpies.

Despite rejecting Liverpool’s £110 million bid earlier in the summer, Newcastle have yet to receive another formal offer.

For now, the saga continues, leaving supporters to wonder if one of their star players will ever pull on the black-and-white shirt again.
