Speaking on the podcast Is This Seat Taken?, Iwobi expressed his deep admiration for the former Nigerian playmaker.
“In sports, my uncle Jay-Jay Okocha will always remain my reference.
I must always mention him, both on and off the field,” he said.

Beyond the game, the former Arsenal player highlighted how Okocha has mentored him on professionalism, financial management, and staying humble.
“Okocha constantly advises me on how to be professional, how to manage money, how to conduct myself, while remaining humble and grounded,” Iwobi added.
